While not a strict requirement, this ensures that candidates have basic skills in mathematics and physics, as well as the necessary English proficiency to understand the theoretical training program.
- Private Pilot License (PPL) : Candidates must hold a Private Pilot License (PPL), which is a basic qualification for flying light aircraft. This license demonstrates that the candidate has acquired basic piloting skills and has some flight experience.
- Flight hours : Candidates must have completed a minimum number of solo flight hours before enrolling in the ATPL training. This may vary, but candidates are typically required to have accumulated at least 150 flight hours, including some night flying.
- Medical fitness : Finally, candidates must undergo a medical examination and obtain a Class 1 medical certificate. This ensures they are in good physical and mental health to operate an aircraft.
