Accompanied Hours Building

Hours building represents the evolution of the pilot’s experience, involving the continuous development of essential flying skills.

It is essential to emphasize that hours buildin is a crucial step before beginning professional training. It is important to take advantage of these flights to practice various exercises (radio navigation, finding landmarks, discovering new airfields, etc.) and not just to conduct “leisure” flights, in order to maximize preparation for the next stage of your training.

Instructors from Aéropyrénées will be available throughout your hours buildin process to provide you with guidance and exercises that you can practice in flight.

Tips for the 300 Nm Navigation

The 300 Nm navigation represents the final navigation to complete the hours building phase. During this navigation, you will need to visit 3 different airfields and perform a full landing each time.

The choice of airfields is free (controlled airfields, AFIS / non-controlled), so it’s up to you to choose.

Depending on your departure airfield, plan for two opposite navigations to avoid being blocked by the weather on the day of your flight.

Coaching with a flight instructor

During your training, you will not be alone!

Instructors from Aéropyrénées will be available to answer your questions regarding the preparation of your navigations as well as any inquiries related to your ATPL theoretical revisions.

Coaching also allows you to prepare for your entry into CPL training more confidently, particularly by reviewing pre-flight briefings as well as in-flight announcements (passenger briefings, arrival briefings, etc.), which are important elements during the CPL.

Preparation for Entry into Practical CPL

At the end of your maturation, Aéropyrénées offers preparation for entry into practical CPL.

During this preparation, you will have the opportunity to complete two sessions in simulators. The main purpose of these sessions is to practice VSV (Flight Without Visibility), which is part of the training program. VSV serves as an initial introduction to IFR procedures that you will have the chance to learn during your IFR training after completing your CPL.
