Definition of CPL training

The CPL (Commercial Pilot License) training is a specialized program designed for aspiring pilots who aim to professionalize their skills. This training prepares them to navigate the commercial aviation industry with confidence and competence. Trainees acquire advanced piloting skills along with in-depth theoretical knowledge.

The CPL training covers various disciplines, including navigation, meteorology, and principles of flight. It also places strong emphasis on safety and civil aviation regulations, which are crucial for any career in commercial piloting.

  • Holding a Private Pilot License is a fundamental step before starting CPL training. It demonstrates that you have mastered basic piloting skills.
  • Flight experience is also essential. A certain number of flight hours, including some under night conditions, is required to enroll in the CPL training. How is CPL training broken down?

At the heart of Aéropyrénées, our CPL (Commercial Pilot License) training offers a comprehensive pathway for aspiring airline pilots. This training is divided into several essential stages.

It all begins with a theoretical phase, where fundamental aviation disciplines such as navigation, meteorology, and principles of flight are studied.

Next, the focus shifts to practical learning through fully immersive flight hours. During these flights, trainee pilots acquire and refine their piloting skills.

The CPL training concludes with a final evaluation, or flight test. It is through this test that the examiner validates the students’ level of competence, ensuring they are ready to begin a career in commercial aviation.
