Private Pilot License (PPL)
Everything You Need to Know About the PPL
What is a private pilot license?
What type of aircraft to fly with a private pilot license?
A private pilot license allows you to pilot a wide range of light aircraft, such as single-engine planes, multi-engine planes, and piston-driven aircraft. However, there are restrictions on the types of aircraft you can fly with this license. For example, the private pilot license does not permit you to pilot commercial or military aircraft.
In general, the private pilot license allows you to fly aircraft weighing less than 5,700 kg, with a maximum of six passengers. This includes general aviation aircraft, sport planes, and light business jets.
It is important to note that even if a person holds a private pilot license, they must still obtain a specific endorsement to pilot certain types of aircraft, such as jet aircraft and turboprop planes. This additional qualification requires specific training and appropriate flight experience.
