The choice of fleet focuses on traditional aircraft with classic instrumentation. This allows pilots to grasp both visual and instrument flight while preserving the fundamentals of piloting.
Aéropyrénées has several models of aircraft for student training, ranging from the PA28 (140, 161, 180…) to the PA34, as well as the TB20, TB9 and the Cessna 177RG Cardinal.
New equipment, while designed to bring comfort and precision, remains distant from the reality of piloting.
The use of such tools should be linked to type ratings but never to initial training in piloting.
The advantage is that training on classic instrumentation enables adaptation to all types of aircraft. Thus, transitioning to a “Glass Cockpit” aircraft becomes easier.
